Bringing the essence of the game into spirit, taking and distilling hand selected grass from the original pitch, Old Bigside, where, in 1823 William Webb Ellis first took the ball in his arms and ran with it creating the distinctive feature of the rugby game.
Balancing Old Bigside glass with the finest botanicals from around the world, from Macedonian Juniper through Orris and Guatemalan Cardamom, and finishing with bright citrus from Murcia in Spain.
Serve over plenty of ice with tonic and garnish with a “half-time” orange slice.

Perfect for creating cocktails
We recommend using this gin to create a classical gin martini or Parisian cocktail
For the Parisian take:
50ml 1823 dry gin
50ml Crème de Cassis
50ml good dry vermouth
Add all into an ice filled shaker and shake until fully mixed and chilled. Double strain into a coupe glass and garnish with a twist of lemon.
